A major hurdle is behind us with our track renovation this week with the ring main completed and the irrigation pods installed. Yes we have irrigation!!
Work has now been started on the drainage under the track surface with lateral pipes across the track being installed which will drain the excess water when we have too much rain. This work will take another couple of weeks to complete.
I know, on one hand we install irrigation pipes to put water on the track and on the other hand pipes under the track to drain the excess. We have both Summer and Winter covered!!
On another note a big thank you to the members who joined us yesterday for the Bowls Tournament. The Tui Park Bowling Club Committee and Members made us most welcome and we had a fantastic day and best of all $770.00 has been raised for the Te Aroha Riding for the Disabled with another couple of donations still to come.
